For this project students were tasked with helping Cervey research what clinical trials are like and how they are run in Canada, Europe, and other parts of the world. The SIBC team will research and present regarding how clinical trials are run in Canada, Europe, and other parts of the world, and what current software solutions exist to help clinical trial research sites. The team focused on answering these questions: Do clinical trial sites still exist in other countries the way they do in the USA? For example, clinical trials in the USA are run by private entities. Do other countries run the trials through government channels instead of private entities?

“During the Cervey project I was in charge of researching clinical trials in India to present to the client as a potential option for expansion in their line of business. Being a member of this team has given me real world business experience in presentations, meetings, and communication. SIBC has been a wonderful opportunity that has developed my skills and allowed me to expand my knowledge and comfort in client interactions and formal discussions.” -Regan Engle

“After conducting research for Cervey this past semester, I’ve come away with a better idea of how clinical trials are run throughout the world and what Cervey will do to better them. For this project I was in charge of finding research on the country of France and how their clinical trials are run. Some of the key takeaways I’ve received from doing this project is the importance of clear communication between all parties and looking past surface level information.” - Jonas Ross
