Mentorship Program

Benedictine SIBC Alumni!

Please join the IBC – the SIBC’s alumni association.  If you are already a member, THANK YOU.

Becoming an IBC member is easy and will allow you full access to the platform and all features – a curated group of alumni who were SIBC members at one of the three SIBC schools – Benedictine College, the University of San Diego and the University of Notre Dame – the opportunity to give back to current students in the SIBC by being a mentor, and a forum to continue to make an impact in your future.

Click the sign-up link below to get started – this will only take a few minutes.

Initially a pilot program at Notre Dame, the SIBC Mentoring Connection is a proven program that allows IBC members to mentor a current SIBC student. This is the fourth semester Benedictine College has been involved in the Mentoring Connection and WE NEED YOUR HELP!

We continue to have more students sign up for the program than available mentors. As our membership grows, we are able to secure additional mentors – this is a fantastic opportunity to get involved and assist a current SIBC student with career insights.

We need you to help us ensure that all students who want to pursue this mentoring opportunity are able to!

The process is easy and the commitment is minimal – all we ask is for you to engage with a student for a minimum of one phone call (and certainly more if you wish!). You bring your insights and expertise, and we'll take care of the matching and guidelines for discussion.

We'd love to take as many students as we can into the program, but it will depend on our supply of mentors like you who are driven to have an impact on the life of a student.

To be a mentor, you can send us an email (admin@ouribc.com) or after joining the IBC, click the Mentoring Program tab and select the "Join" button!

Feel free to email us as well with any questions. Thank you so much!

Kindest regards,

The IBC Team

SIBC Alumni Networking Event – Saturday, October 21, 2023

You are invited to the Student International Business Council (SIBC) Annual Alumni Networking Event held on Benedictine College's campus! This is an opportunity to connect with fellow alums, meet current students, and hear about recent SIBC projects.

The event will take place on Saturday, October 21, 2023 (during Homecoming Weekend), and will consist of an alumni panel and tailgate. SIBC students would appreciate the opportunity to meet you and hear about advice for current students, your transition from academics to the “real world,” your experience navigating your career, etc.

The alumni panel/discussion will start at 10:00 AM and will be followed by a networking tailgate around 11:30 AM. If you are unable to attend in person, we are happy to setup a Zoom option for those wanting to virtually attend the panel discussion.

We hope that you are able to join us this Homecoming Weekend and that you are willing to connect with SIBC students! RSVP to Madeline Rogers, M.B.A., J.D. no later than October 1, 2023.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Thank you from our SIBC Alumni Event Team:
